Dodged a Bullet

I just realized that a piece of junk mail I've been ignoring is a "beauty resource guide" that I opted not to advertise in.

Beauty mags don't get my attention like gardening, kid stuff or home care. I was about to toss this one out when I recognized the name.

Their ad salesman pitched me hard, saying that this was a beauty phone book of sorts, which hair salons, doctors offices and other health and beauty professionals would refer to. My concierge service could surely benefit.

It's 23 pages long and is comprised 100% of ads. Even "articles" are ads.

There are actual client photos of before, during and after Botox, lipo, acupuncture, laser hair removal and they're not pretty!

A quote from an "interview" regarding liposuction. "Breast implants wont fix your marriage, but I still love my results." Awesome.

I am sooo glad I didn't advertise with those guys. The vibe of this publication just isn't what I'm going for.

My advertising money is better spent elsewhere. I feel like I dodged a bullet.
